Korsbrødregården

Unlike other Danish market towns in the Middle Ages, Nyborg never had a monastery. However, the town did have a Korsbrødregård, which was a branch of the Knights Hospitaller monastery in Antvorskov. A few brothers of the Order of Saint John lived in the house, but a proper monastic life was not led there, and there was no church.
