About
Tyrstrup church - The Reunification Church in Christiansfeld
Tyrstrup Church is located at Haderslevvej 7, 6070 Christiansfeld. It was built in 1862-63 according to designs by architect Laurits Albert Winstrup. The church is known as the “Reunification Church” because King Christian X visited on July 10, 1920 in connection with the reunification with Southern Jutland. The altarpiece was painted by Anton Dorph, and behind the altar there are three beautiful stained-glass windows.
