Tissø Vikingecenter

Tissø Vikingecenter is situated on the very edge of the lake at beautiful Tissø in the Nature Park “Naturpark Åmosen”. In the main building there is an exhibition on the vikings at Tissø, a museum shop and a café. At various times of the year activities are also arranged for children and adults based on the unique cultural history and nature of the area. For example, you can learn about how bees make their honey or go on a guided tour to learn about the many extraordinary archaeological finds. For this you will need to participate in an event or book ahead, although if you are willing to explore the area on your own you are welcome to come without booking. You can always go for a walk and crawl into the bird watching tower. There is also an outdoor eating area, shelters and several firesides.
