About
The Town Hall Square in Nyborg
In 1537, Christian III purchased several small houses in the upper part of Nørregade and cleared the area all the way to the Castle Mill (Slotsmøllen). This is how the Market Square was created, which the King intended to use as a riding ground and tournament field.
