About
Jægerspris Castle – royal history and cultural heritage in Zealand
Jægerspris Castle is one of Denmark’s oldest royal residences and houses a museum dedicated to King Frederik VII and Countess Danner. In 1854, the couple moved into the castle, and after the King’s death, Countess Danner opened his rooms as a memorial museum. In 1874, her own study was also preserved as part of the collection. Countess Danner is buried in the castle park.
